Rules & Expectations for Tenancy

Tenant may not use, possess, share alcohol or illicit drugs,
including controlled substances and prescription medications
either on or around premises.

Tenant may not allow guests to use, possess or share drugs,
alcohol and medication in or on the premises.

Legacy reserves the right to have tenant provide a urine test to
determine drug use/ recovery confirmation at Legacy’s expense.

Each tenant has their own conditional temporary lease to which
is the tenant’s primary focus during this period.

No one will have overnight guests during the first 30 days, then
with manager approval ONLY.

No guests after 10 pm.

If suspected of violating any house rules, Legacy can enter
bedrooms, search, move and remove persons and their
belongings. Legacy may require further treatment or support
necessary to continue the lease. If refused, tenants may lose
their lease immediately.

If rent is not collected on the day expected, after a 5 day period,
the landlord may remove the tenant and their belongings.

Personal items may be held for up to 30 days which will be
returned when all back rent is paid to the landlord. However, if it
is not then it will be disposed of.

Legacy provides housing stability. If a person is violating the
terms of this agreement, Landlord may require coordination with
a counselor/case worker who will be assigned to offer additional
support for the tenant. This may or may not be mandated as a
final chance to remain in the addres.

Legacy may require added recovery support, meetings,
counseling or engagement within the community if decided
tenant is at risk for removal, as an effort to rehabilitate.

Failure to participate if required, or if found manipulating the
expectations, tenant will be asked to leave or move into a
temporary room, landlord has final say.

Your security deposit may be used as a final week's rent if
1-2 weeks notice is given and the key to the room is returned
and the room is cleaned out and undamaged.

Legacy’s transitional program provides affordable housing for individuals with the
opportunity for all tenants to regain stability, and further transitional to better
opportunities or independence.
